Question to my artist friends here

What can u guys suggest I do to better translate the look of the hair/strands over to the final thing? I really do like how the hair looks in the sketch part of my drawings, but I feel that I can never really get the full look/effect once done?

Super thankful that I was given the opportunity to work on 2 team logos for the #DMC3v3 this time around!
