To me, this is one of the darkest and most terrifying chapters in all of re zero. Echidna's soul is at this juncture and for over 400 years, eternally bound to this dream citadel by Volcanica. She "gathered" the souls of all the witches from time of death into phantasmal vessels

Finished Volume 6.5. While this was a redemption story for Sagami, she's mainly used as a plot device to show that even the most rotten characters in a series can show intrinsic desires for change when external environment makes push turn to shove. Sports festival was decent too
