For a lighter touch I LOVE the Looney-Tunes-y touch on Fra Angelico's depiction of Christ's descent into Hell. The demon squashed under the door!!

And of course, the mosaic - with Pope Honorius III (appr. 1220) representing himself as a turtle-like tiny sinner at Christ's feet 😁
