Beautiful sunset in Galveston tonight, what a joy to be back here.

Still trying to do a cover for a new edition of a book I wrote twenty years ago (I kept making him look too nice, but I think I may have fixed that).And loving having this opportunity from @lanavediteseoed.

Today is the last day of spring break, so I painted a badly taxidermied owl.

Today in drawing, Geppetto in the whale(shark)...to go with an earlier Cat & Fox, for an exhibition in Collodi later this year.

Yesterday, started painting Lampwick from Pinocchio.

Today in not writing: painting the Cat from Pinocchio as a Victorian tramp.
