The total meltdown of the Northern Hemisphere continues, yesterday reaching a 4σ daily record of 1.64°C over the 1979-2000 baseline.

Yikes!

This is an animation of the 2m Temperature Anomaly over India, China, the Middle East and Siberia over the next 2 weeks.

No words ...

To those who have devoted themselves to not paying attention to the only story that matters, I give you this f&%kery, with the WORLD 0.7°C above the 1979-2000 baseline. I've only seen this a couple of times, and every time it's been a precursor for really bad news for someone:

Usually models showing long range extreme outcomes will moderate before the event. In the case of the heat in California next Tuesday, both the GFS and European models have been steady. Many all-time records will be broken. Then there's the fires. Tragic for all living things.

This is climate change. The worst heatwave in China in 60 years is ongoing.

The most populated region of the most populated nation on the planet is one of the hottest places on the planet.

Industries shut down. Power cut to millions. Drinking water shortage. Drought.

Yikes!!!

Every time I look, the GFS forecasted heat anomaly in the Arctic gets larger, now > 4°C by the end of May, as melt season hits full speed.

Current Arctic sea-ice extent is well above the 2007-2021 average, ranking 14-th overall. Interesting to see if that continues.

Here we go again -- another Antarctic heatwave may be coming soon. In the 10-day forecast, areas near the South Pole may reach more than 30C (54F) above average. The heat will also be impacting West Antarctica and the Thwaites glacier. Stay tuned.

Today marks the peak of a record-breaking heat-wave in Eastern Antarctica, with high temps along the coastline reaching over 5°C (41°F) -- look at the green shaded areas. Some of these record temps may be as much as 40°C (72°F) above average.

This is just f**king unbelievable. 5-10C at the North Pole (look at the green shading). Next week it will be warmer at the North Pole than in parts of the US.

Epic early season Arctic ice melt ahead ... is this the beginning of a new record low for Arctic ice extent?

Doom diary entry for March 6, 2022. Eastern US sees record heat, Central US sees record cold and Western US sees record drought.

My grandson turned 7 today. He doesn't know yet.

We are so f**ked.
