The anime has always tried to keep up with the latest piece of technology introduced in the games, including devices such as Pokégear, PokéNav, Rotom Pokédex, and Rotom Phone.

I think they peaked with Rotom Pokédex in SM, but who knows what they will come up with next! #anipoke
