Day 13, Dune #Inktober. It’s 2020 and the prompt word was Dune, so just some massive phage-worm thing. Also, in arid soils there is a much higher ratio of phages to bacterial genomes, is it due to a better survival of phages or just their genomes in these environments? #SciArt

Day 2, Wisp. The bacteriophages or phage I work with often seem like ethereal wisps, is it a bubble, dirt or phage plaque on my agar plate? So difficult to observe directly we just look for areas where bacteria have been killed. #inktober2020 #sciart #Sciartober
