The artwork of Australian artist Melissa Haslam are dark and romanticized illustrations with haunting landscapes that harken back to the world of fairy tales.

Since it is LGBTQ Pride Month, I want to celebrate the authors and artists who greatly impacted and left an indelible mark on fairy tales and children's literature. Their works have taught children to dream, imagine, create, and accept those who are different from themselves.

In This Corner of the World (2017) directed by Sunao Katabuchi is the story of Suzu,a young girl, who is a talented illustrator living in Hiroshima during WWII.

The English artist, illustrator, & cartoonist W. Heath Robinson was born today in 1872. Here are some of his illustrations for Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Ever since I was a child, I was driven by curiosity and wonder. I was always delighted to see & imagine the world as a magical place. As I grew up, I never lost this sense of childlike amazement & this has shaped my Twitter account as I like to share those things that amaze me.

Life is far too short to be practical. Dream with your eyes open. See every wood as an enchanted one. Discover that every sea is filled with stories. Allow for the improbable, the impossible, the magical, and the wondrous and you will never be disappointed.
