One of my favorite collections of fairy tales is Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber. These are Igor Karash's illustrations for them.
The gorgeous literary art of British painter Theodor von Holst. He created paintings based on Goethe, Shakespeare, Dante, Mary Shelley, and Victor Hugo.
Saddened to hear of the death of children's author and illustrator John Burningham. He won the 1963 and 1970 Kate Greenaway Medals for British children's book illustration & was nominated for the Hans Christian Andersen Award.
