“Alice: How long is forever?
White Rabbit: Sometimes, just one second.”
― Lewis Carroll, who was born #OTD in 1832. Alice in Wonderland remains one of my most beloved books. It was the first book I saved up my own money to purchase a copy of. I still have it.
I have been quarantined since last Friday. Once more, I am grateful for books. It was their company that made me feel less isolated & more connected to the world beyond my bedroom. They reminded me of how necessary stories are for healing. Books made me feel less alone.
