I love this illustration by @em_IFM. It makes me think this is what a child that Sophie & the Wizard Howl would be like.

Jacob Grimm, philologist, folklorist & editor of Grimm's Fairy Tales was born #OTD in 1785. He not only collected German folklore but translated Irish folklore into German. In 1816 Jacob Grimm published a collection of German local legends but it wasn’t as popular as fairy tales.
