Lady Emma Hamilton born #OTD in 1765 was an English model, dancer, actress & mistress of Lord Nelson. The portraits show her posing as a ‘Bacchante' & ‘Ariadne’ She would amuse her guests by recreating the poses of the people on the classical Greek vases owned by her husband.
