@be1t2h @AudryRibka @RosaTrunk Thank you dear Beth, to all a lovely evening.
My homage 2 Edvard Munch, who died #otd 1944. I have omitted that painting, as striking though it is, I believe there’s more to him than it offers. Besides, I want 2 celebrate his other work & the stories they tell. He also enjoyed photography & took some very impressive selfies.
#FaustianFriday In Slavic mythology the Leshy is a tree spirit, protector of flora & fauna found in the forest. A shapeshifter & trickster, he gets his kicks by leading unwary travelers astray through his magic and cunning.
#FolkloreThursday As today is the feast day of St Agnes, patron saint of young girls , how apt to invoke her today. After all her symbols are a lamb and the #martyrs #palm. In Christianity, the palm branch is associated with Jesus' Triumphal Entry on Palm Sunday. 🌿
@effiekalom @geonelroma Thanks Effie. Happy Friday and a wonderful weekend dear friends.
@Beth396 Feliz Jueves querida Beth. Te deseo un agradable día, amiga. Por favor mantente segura. Cariños.
#FairyTaleTuesday The #Tale of Tom Kitten written & illustrated by #BeatrixPotter is an endearing children’s #story about manners. It tells of a naughty kitten called Tom, his mischievous sisters Moppet & Mittens and their harassed mother Tabitha Twitchit.
@Beth396 Buenos días querida Beth, y feliz Martes, gracias por la hermosa rosa. La naturaleza es un consuelo en estos días oscuros y cuán bendecidos somos los que tenemos un jardín. Muchos cariños, bella amiga.
#MythologyMonday In some cultures dragonflies symbolise luck, good & bad. If you see one make a wish, it’s sure to come true. Irish myth says that fairies ride them as a means of travel. Some suggest that the dragonfly is a fairy, so to kill one brings bad luck.
