#MythologyMonday In Greek mythology Lamia was Zeus’ mistress, Hera enraged at the betrayal transformed Lamia’s children into monsters. Grief-stricken, Lamia devours any child she finds. Latterly the notion of Lamia has shifted to a sultry seductress of young men.

#FairyTaleTuesday
Growing up in a family of male siblings, I much preferred the story of the kind, devoted and resourceful sisters in Snow White and Rose Red, to Snow White. I adore the child like simplicity and naïve realism of the illustrations of Felicitas Kuhn-Klapschy.
