If you haven't had a session in a long time, my advice is to skip the "what happened last time" phase and jump straight into the action.
This helps players get into the game faster. The memories of the last three games will come back as they throw the dice.

Oozes don't attack skeletons cause there is nothing left to eat. Undead usually target living things

Reaction rolls in OSR are amazing. I think they can be added to 5e no problem.

Enemies might flee or fight to death, the PCs' friends can also drop their sword and flee at the worst of times and makes things even more exciting. Really, try them out
