My best bit of advice for artists: make art that you have fun making. I used to draw a lot of portraits, but I didn't enjoy it as much as learning how to draw prehistoric creatures. It took time to start getting client work drawing them, but eventually I did. Anyway, portraits.
@Tomozaurus For the body, basically yeah. The hands and feet though I think they looked at the mount on wikipedia and made some assumptions.
Naked and feathered raptors I've drawn including one from 2013 when I was still grappling with the idea of preferring feathered dromaeosaurs.
