The Bugbear... somebody stuffed an entire monster into that bear's guts. Just popped right out. I love that.

A bit like somebody visited the Cathedral of Shadows and fused Soul Hackers' Bugbear with that one mannequin monster from the bad Silent Hill movie.

Man I had forgotten all about Inanna in SMTIV Apocalypse but the Harpy Queen is straight up an homage to her

The boss fight is basically a superboss ala SMT, pretty cool

So you get into Arknights because of a friend and hey, as it turns out, it's pretty good! The problem comes in when you're already juggling other mobage.

The bosses are more varied, too. FF was mostly just the titular Flower Fairies. FW has a wide variety of monstrous opponents who seem pretty happy to get in your way.

Spider boss in particular has a good design...

The Third Shift's aesthetic is super strong so far, with extra points for a Boyish Game system to play it on. Enjoying the steady build up of something terribly wrong in this weird little museum, the odd bit of glitchiness aside.

Plannin on hittin up Alien: Isolation, and got me thinkin "some terrifying monsters might be willin to get along with each other, but would the Xenomorphs"? Prolly not.

There are ways of dealing with that attitude, natch.
