Was looking through my sprites and don’t think I shared this one.
I’m not going to spam all the unshared art but I thought this one was a little fun.

Hopefully Year of The Witch is a good enough comic that it’s less of a replacement project and more something that can stand on its own feet and be fun in its own right.

(I added some of the sprites from my phone but there’s a lot more. I will come back to it some day 💕)

I guess what I’m really saying is that a darker magical girl story revolving around overcoming mental health issues isn’t something I’ve been able to handle this past year or so, so I reflexively created a cuter happier one to fill that place until I’m ready again.

I’m certain I put a lot of myself into my writing (I should put a disclaimer that if I release this game, the lead’s backstory and suicidal ideation is not my own) so I really need to be in a good headspace to come back and work on it and I recognized that well enough to stop.

I don’t know if I ever said the reason I quit or postponed creating my VN here, so maybe I should state it properly.
After my mom died, some of the concepts became a little too much for me.
