Cyclone Batsirai is currently making landfall over Mananjary. Conditions there are unknown due to lack of communication, but likely terrible.

Conditions here in Antananarivo: no sustained wind, but some strong gusts. That eastern escarpment doing its job as a shield again.

Still calm here aside from some intermittent light rain.

Again, this storm is a troll.

Anyway, bed time now, so I’ll leave you with updated views of the current situation.

That wind field is impressive. The cyclone is still over there near Réunion, and some of the wind can already be felt on Madagascar’s east coast.

Nothing at my location yet, though. Minor perks of living in the highlands.

I’ve learned recently that a lot of English-speaking Blacksad fans have settled on naming this character from the first book “Fiston”—because he’s not named otherwise, and an older character calls him that in one panel.
