Surrounding the #throne are sculptures of Scotland’s coat of arms also seen in the first piece engraved on Macbeth’s sword. The presence of the all-seeing #raven at the top, on behalf of The Witches, raises the question of who’s really pulling the strings.

🎨 The Arise

The second #art piece of the collection depicts the ascendance of the couple and the #dark deeds around it.

On the right side Lady Macbeth has sunken into #despair. The messed-up hair, smeared makeup and shoulder down imply self-neglect and lack of will. The eyes wide open, conscious of each victim -the six pithing needles- tortured by #guilt and pain; inescapable #madness.

The left half shows her as evil as determined, blinded by #greed and the prophecies spoken by The Witches –the six shady hands-. Shoulders up, braided braid and angular shapes suggest self-confidence and #ambition; the fiery #determination required to fulfill the grimmest deeds.
