I'm looking back through old drawings to try and remember how I wanted Alberoth's castle and interior to look back when I drew a background sometimes and this piece was just... frick. It's officially ten years old now and even though a lot of it is wonky it still moves me.
Given that I draw Autticus, Erostoana Enemy #1 not-so-subtly decapitated or otherwise assaulted more times than not, OOOOOBVIOUSLY something goes wrong there buuuuut that's another story altogether. 🤫
And what's up with that outfit anyway? Anyone who's followed my art long enough to see a few pieces of Raos would know he's more of a lace, frills and jewels type (also a lot more blue than green, there's significance in that too).
Since this piece is done, I'm gonna let myself have a ramble about it, as a treat (yes, this is how I motivated myself to finish it). Also it's a big nod to Raos' story in general which is never gonna reach anyone unless I talk about it so let's goooooo!
And since I don't trust the twitter crop, here's some detail close-ups:
Found out that slitted eyes are for ground ambush predators to see better in grass a week ago. Is that gonna stop me from putting them on my 6'5" half-dragon twink? HAHA NO OF COURSE NOT YOU FOOLS.
Come watch me fumble around with color on this thing for a few hours!

Not this one tho, Sohu is a knucker. He's the weenie dog of dragons and the slitted eyes make sense for ground hunters.
