Dio probably finds it easier to believe Speedwagon when he says he was 'born evil' because it justifies his actions. He was fated to be that way & so his actions are out of his control.

Admitting he wasn't born evil would mean acknowledging his humanity. Something he despises.

I also just found out that Meowth is based on the Maneki-Neko which makes sense seeing as he has a massive gold coin stuck to his head ha.

Ninetails is based off Kitsune (Nine-tailed fox)
