Penitent Magdalene is a 1576–1578 painting by El Greco depicting #MaryMagdalene, produced during his first period in Toledo. It is now in the Museum of Fine Arts in Budapest.

Thor Battering the Midgard Serpent is a 1790 painting by the Swiss artist Henry Fuseli. It depicts one of the most popular myths in Germanic mythology, Thor's fishing trip with a giant. The nude and muscular Thor stands in Hymir's boat with the Jörmungandr on his fish hook.

Pietà or The Dead Christ Supported by the Virgin Mary and St John the Evangelist (1455-1460) is a tempera on panel painting by Giovanni Bellini, now in the Pinacoteca di Brera in Milan.

The Cestello Annunciation, is a painting in tempera on panel made in 1489 by Sandro Botticelli. It was painted for the patron Benedetto di Ser Giovanni Guardi to adorn the church of the Florentine monastery of Cestello, which is now known as Santa Maria Maddalena de'Pazzi.
