A character design doesn’t have to be by a white westerner to exhibit Orientalism/exoticisation of SWANA people. These characters are all from JRPGs, but they’re still Orientalist designs. It’s a problem that JRPGs made “dancer” synonymous with “orientalist belly dancer attire”
