Innocence were BOWs based on small children. They would retain their human form until they infiltrated enemy territory, and then would mutant into monsters behind enemy lines.
This was before RE7 introduced the similar concept of child BOWs with Eveline

The virus featured in Biohazard Clan Master, the Basilisk Virus, was made by combining snake DNA with the G-VIrus.
It created monsters with a demonic appearance, and Basilisk B.O.W.s were usually named after demons.

Hunters are all female. Their enlarged muscles are due solely to the effects of the t-Virus on musculature development.
They make clicking sounds when idle, which could be them communicating with each other, like geckos.

The Jabberwock S3 B.O.W. from The Darkside Chronicles had a device in its head that kept its brain from mutating. Despite their monstrous appearance, they actually had the mind of a human. This is expressed by the sad looks on their faces.

Ivy were created using offspring or clones of Plant 42. They were revolutionary from both a weapons standpoint and from an evolutionary one due to them being "self-sustaining mobile plants".
They fed on water vapor and human blood.

The giant centipede in #ResidentEvi 0 was called "Centurion"
Centurions were Roman commanders, named for their being in charge of 100 troops (while centipede means 100 feet). The monster's name was a play on words, essentially meaning superior centipede.
