I think it's between him and Mark Bagley who did more Spider-man comics, but numbers aside after his various runs at Marvel he would dip into creator own territory on occasion, first with the Gray Area which no one talks about...but there is another.

His Daredevil is where the Modern JRJR style I feel comes together, his take on DD's world and creation of villainsess typhoid Mary made him a name for fans, his work on Frank Miller Project the Man without fear also gave him a lot of prominence.

Now after Spider-man he would actually go on to work in X-men where he downplays his art a bit, but his era is important for the characters and him as an artist because it's where you start to really notice how he has his own unique look from his father.

His early work for Marvel includes well Dazzler 1-3, but the work that would get him notice was working on Ironman of all places during the David Michelienie and Bob Layton run, what many fans consider the DEFINITIVE Ironman.

While John also gave Gwen a revamp, he focused on MJ for one huge reason. He basically created her look and was more invested in her character as a result then he was Gwen, so the readers ended up as well. Just look at the panels.

Honestly don't know why Marvel bothers trying.the last I remember The most excited people were happy with a ship was when Rogue and Gambit finally got hitched or bringing back the MJ relationship in Spider-man.

I remember when someone was like let's make Brother Voodoo and Scarlet Witch a thing.

Wow I didn't think What the? parody could look cooler then the actual damn show but THEY SOMEHOW did it. I was not going to be into this because Modok has been a punchline for years but this design is so toned down it loses the comic value of the design and makes him too cute. https://t.co/MJ9k8UKuK5

They were Both created by Steve Ditko and so Spider-man himself is often teamed up with him as kind of a nod to that. Most notable is an annual Drawn by Frank Miller, Fever, the JMS Run and various issues of Marvel team up.

I was more referring to the general trend, it's very overused to make Superman look cool and I feel it's more of a writers crutch then anything else. Other then that Snyder is dour which only adds to it. It's kind of lazy to me.
