After going through all this trouble to model, texture, skin, and rig a simple custom VRChat avatar, I feel even more strongly that 3D artists should be paid at least as well as software engineers in the games industry.
Like, come on. This stuff is hard as hell.
Spent the whole weekend working on a custom VRChat avatar. Trying to keep it under 10k tris for Quest compatibility. Hope to have it done by the VR MAGFest event on the 22nd.
Thanks to @guncannongirl for all the advice and watching over my shoulder the whole time.
Huh. You know, I don't mind the #EpicGamesStore as much when I just think of it like a really modernized version of that CATALOG.EXE they used to package with all the games they published that had that cool extended-ASCII art for the games.
Finally got around to doing some #Brigador fanart. Had to use a tiny sprite as a reference, so I probably got all the details wrong.
(Rope Kid is best agrav.)
Finished a little bit of gift art for @StickersDrg !
That new https://t.co/bUAUAHgwOa skin reminds me of someone...
This is the version of the major I'm used to, for comparison.
I think this means the tessellation code is working. Sort of.
