In 1917 Vesta Tilley, Music Hall star, gave a Grafonola (record player) & records of her singing, as a Christmas present to a Military Hospital in Manchester. This is their thankyou letter to her, which she put in a scrapbook
There are lots of harvest festivals happening at this time of year in schools and churches. These photos show Foregate Patisserie in the early 1980s with harvest loaves they'd created, and Brickfields Primary School with produce pupils had brought in for the harvest festival
