How could I forget to mention Popful Mail!! It's like a precursor to the Shantae series! The Sega CD port is the superior release, with audio+dialogs.

@LukeWholey I kinda wanted it to take a character/cartoony appearance at the very end.
Sonic is a series featuring Felix the Cat/Looney Tunes-esque characters at the end of the day.
As for the Japanese/manga/shonen side of things, most monsters in Dragonball also end up looking human-ysh.

I also planned some Xmas pinups, so here's the only salvaged.

@whisperwoIf Middle mouth-Sonic is a bit too Mickey Mouse-y for my taste. Side mouth-Sonic is much more Felix the Cat-ysh, which I prefer.
(And I know both of those had their own mouth both ways, but that's the main design they generally have.)

..You know what I mean. A sort of Americanized shonen anime design. It's been part of Sonic Team's DNA since the Saturn days. Anyways, I feel like Sage fits the design. (Even non ST-Yuji Naka games have the same design aesthetic.) 4/4
