I still think about how Sonic Boom's shift in tone was so sudden we actually have official works showing how different it could have been.

Shadow being a "Justice at any cost" anti-hero instead of overly serious bully and Amy being an archeologist would have been so interesting.

So to be clear: I do not think Sega needs to update character designs or team line ups. I do think some teams or characters could use an update, but its not NEEDED.

That being said, here's re-designs I would do, if I had to, for Team Hero, Dark, and new teams Guardian and Nova.

Here we have some Sonic the Comic redesign concepts I've done this past year; Predicto, Trogg, Party Pooper, and Brutus. Though as part of the redesign Trogg and Party Pooper were renamed to Tsagaan And Party Crasher to fit their new looks and modern sensibilities.

Now some of you may recall that starline,much like Scourge before him, is based on famous glitchs in the video games. Wechnia for starline and asura for scourge. it’s likely These two are similarly based on some glitches, I assumed as much since the test tubes were first shown.
