A direct downgrade from his original character, but not as egregious as Stilts or Greg-Gantuar. Still not the best, though.

Big Trouble

Almost as iconic as the main trio at this point, I'd say. He was the first one-off joke zombie to become recurring, too! They kinda nerfed him in newer comics but he's still cool :)

Old Phil the Cowboy Zombie

Rating - 6/10

Pretty forgettable, even in his original appearance. Not as obnoxious as some others. His redesign is one of the less awful ones, but GIVE HIM HIS BABYS BACK!!!!

Greg-Gantuar

Rating - 2/10

He showed up in Constructionary Tales so I'm counting him. Similar rating as Stilts; absolute character assassination. I care a bit less about him than Stilts though so 2 instead of 1.

Stilts the Imp

Rating - 1/10

LOOK AT HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY. Easily my favorite character on this list, but the fact he's now boiled down to a recurring zombie is insulting to his original character. Ugh.

Tugboat, Frogpants and Nigel
First Appearance: Plants vs. Zombies vol. 3: Bully for You

Rating - 9/10

Grouped together because they're interchangeable. The classics. Frogpants got a bit overused but they're all solid. My personal favorite is Tugboat.

Roller Debbie is the only unnecessary named background character added post-War and Peas that I actually like. I hated her so much that it looped around and now I find her hilarious
