@pIuraIthey this was really challenging, but in a fun way.
i have a good idea of how to animate a smear that goes from point A to B, but i didn't have much of an idea of how to smear rotational speed, much less speed that loses momentum.
here are some smears colored in!
as much as it sucks for my hand, i gotta be honest, being able to draw backgrounds and things besides like, a dog's face brings me immense joy. i like feeling unfettered by my ability to draw, like i can tell whatever story i want to.
yet, in syconium, the past must die for the future, and progress, to exist. as long as it exists, it feeds on the future like a parasite, preventing it from existing. even in the epilogue, fig could not just die, but needed to be ERASED from the past and memories of it.
yet, lycosa is also posed as deliberately regressive, dragging back technological advancements in the spider and insect worlds for her own personal beefs. the narrative nonetheless renders her victor in the arena of rhetoric.
nothing i've ever written has come even close to this line
