Faeneth chose to protect the Leshy’s forest after wandering different forests for some time.
There are few Leshys left but she really liked his forest and deemed him acceptable to ‘bow’ to.
(Plus, she really liked his massive spread of regal antlers)

The forest she protects is ruled over by a Leshy, a Forest King.
The King already had two ‘generals’.
One, darkness and rot that speaks for those of the toxic bogs, swamps, and generally more malicious or chaotic creatures.
The other, their opposite, champion for the more benign.
