Using a brush called "Blender Blur" (I think its a wet blend), I blend out the spots until they're smooth, and if there are any sharp edges like shadows of other petals, I leave those soft but not blended completely! I merge the layers and make a new one for the next petal.

On another layer, with the same brush, I mimic the color changes on any shadows, markings, etc

I match the brightest color on the petal I want to do, and fill it in completely using an Ink brush (Sumi)
