@RobotsShiny @TFMagnusPrime I actually looked over it again last night, and it seems AKOM used the final model for Pipes after all, they just gave it the colours of the pre-final one. The evidence is in the straighter lines, less curves and the 3D part of the nose.

This is how that went. On the left we have the colours from the BWII Encyclopedia and on the right is from some animation cel photos I found while surfing the web (3/3)

Characters like the Magnaboss members, the Cyborgbeasts and the Seacons were shown using the TV Magazine artwork in guidebooks, while some of the Insectrons used shoddy line art. Here are some examples I put together:
