I decided to finally test out Inkarnate, something that to this point I hadn't yet bothered to do because I'm quite comfortable with my own techniques. Then I ran the results through filters and painted over top to make a dreamier version. I imagine this map as entering the Fae.

@JMJAuthor Cowriter and I typically write on the planets Almaera and Carmen. The Almaeran region we often write is definitely coded to be a bit fantasy Canada in climate, which is where we live... temperate but cold with long winters. Here are 2 of my maps (my art)!

I started working on a phased battlemap. It goes from the red being unlit, to lit up with lightning and the gears rotating, then the path buckles and breaks apart.
