While I'm busy taking care of some business, my friend @ruby_ruberri is coloring some of my sketchbook art! And she did such a lovely job on this one! #石ノ森章太郎 #石森章太郎 #アガルタ
I have very important work to do, but before that here's the Demon King model sheet! He's the main villain in the Nina series. Originally, he appeared only in Interdimensional Hide-And-Seek, but for this new project I plans to introduce him earlier.
Here is Leopold's model sheet. Leopold is not a very strong character by himself, but I felt he could have some good chemistry with a comic-relief character like the Postman. In most of his appearances, he's paired with Kathy, who constantly harasses him.
Kathy model sheets are here! She's Nina's ineffective rival. I think it took me way too much time to introduce her as part of the main cast in the original comic strip. But ever since she became a regular character, she was always fun to draw! Colors by @ruby_ruberri
I was feeling a bit anxious these past few days, so I did something quick and silly to relax a bit. I've been reading some classic Dick Tracy comic strips lately and it brings back memories of watching that Bob Clampett parody with Daffy Duck. #dicktracy #daffyduck #looneytunes
I also did some modifications to Ellie's original model sheet. Since Ellie was the first character I redesigned, I feel like I was still in a process of changing it into a different style I hadn't figured out yet. As always in Nina-related projects, colors were by @ruby_ruberri!
The Postman. He was originally the star of his own series, but I decided he would be a better fit to the Nina cast since I felt like he works better as a comic relief than being the main star. I redesigned him and added new features to give him a stronger visual identity.
Sharing the model sheets I completed for Nina Swedenborg, the psychic girl from the 5th-and-a-half dimension, and her friend Askew "Q" Zel'dovich, renowned doctor of quantum ruminations. This was mentioned in an earlier appearance, and you can see both in action in another strip!
I decided to bring my Mutant Nina series back to life as a pitch for an animated series! I always envisioned Nina that way, but comics were much easier to get done. I'm redesigning my own characters from their comic versions to fit this new animated style, starting with Ellie!
