2. Fan-Translated Famicom Version
The first version we played, one of several English fan-translation of the previously unreleased-in-the west FFs.
Don't know if we'll do any live-tweeting of it yet, but just in case...

Garuda in FFXIV, Dimensions II and FFXV being the ones that clearly draw from the FFXI version. All of them being sexy bird ladies.
FFXI was the first FF to depict Garuda as a sexy bird lady, which has since become the standard for said FF boss/summon.
Looking at early concept art for the Tarutaru race in FFXI, the race that Lalafell in FFXIV are based on. They had a variety of more fae-like designs, but you can also clearly see the main inspiration for them being the classic Black Mage sprites.
Fun FF Fact!
The Chocobo from FINAL FANTASY is named after the Japanese snack Chocoball, which has a bird mascot named Kyoro-chan.
This image was stuck in our head for hours so we just had to draw it. #FFXIV
Reminder that adult aged Nadeshiko and Rin from Laid-Back Camp△ / Yurucamp△ are literally a Butch x Butch lesbian couple.
The girls in Pokémon Legends: Arceus looks so good.
Like, seriously, top tier character designs.
Love this art of Estinien, from the Japan exclusive FINAL FANTASY XIV: HEAVENSWARD OFFICIAL COMPLETE GUIDE book. #FFXIV
