A misconception in the KH series is that light and darkness can live in balance with each other.
The darkness is not simply a power that gives you the ability to create massive destruction. It takes your agency away. It changes you into someone unrecognizable.
I once said that the main philosophy of Kingdom Hearts was altruism.
I was wrong. I now think it's personal identity. More sespificly Locke's outlook on it.
John Locke says personal identity is a matter of psychological continuity. It's our memories that make us who we are.
Kingdom Hearts fans if Dark Road actually releases in August
Sora's anti-form in Kingdom Hearts is a very interesting concept because it shows how he can only be swayed by the light or the dark.
He isn't like Riku. He can't walk a "road to dawn." If Sora was a being of
darkness would be just as powerful as he is a being of light.
People don't often pit nihilism and altruism against each other.
But Kingdom Hearts in fact has.
In my perspective, the KH series is the main piece of modern media that puts altruistic philosophy to the forefront and I think that's just beautiful. https://t.co/4UFBfHVObi
To make a good Resident Evil adaptation, it takes getting the tension of A Quiet Place, the isolationist feel of The Conjuring, and the badass-ness of the Matrix.
Once a filmmaker gets this. Like truly gets this. That's when we'll get a good Resident Evil adaptation.
