Personally, if I were to bring humans back into Sonic, I'd go with a style similar to Mega Man Legends, with some hints of Balan Wonderworld's human designs. I feel a more stylized anime take would work for Sonic with elements from a well known Sonic artist. https://t.co/zYabH8dMzA

What's weird is that some of the designs look decent in the 2D concept art. I think the execution of transitioning to 3D falls flat.
