Himeno was probably Fujimoto's weakest character in Part 1 in terms of her role in the story and her impact so this is probably the biggest surprise of the novel to me because I think it really added a lot to the original work (cont)

This one definitely has more meat to chew on, Kishibe and Quanxi didn't really have any moments to show themselves since they were too busy being in the plot.

We get to see the extent of how being in Public Safety has pushed Kishibe to alcoholism...(cont)

Great Detective Power🔍

Funny moments with Power but it felt like the weakest part of the novel because Denji & Power's relationship is well established so it didn't offer unique insights to them.

The mystery wasn't really that interesting and was too similar to Eternity Devil

Finished reading CSM : Buddy Stories last night and felt like doing a mini-review!

Due to Fujimoto's utilitarian style of storytelling, we don't get to see the character's in more "mundane" (by CSM standards) situations so it's fun to see more of them outside of the main work🧵

And the only ones that aren't comics are rough sketches
