One more art study this week! Experimenting more with lighting and fabric. It’s definitely a challenge to get clothing to fold in a natural way.
Practice, practice, I guess hahaha
~Hope everyone is doing well~
Quick exercise for today! I’m still trying to get better at coloring clothing and backgrounds. Gotta keep at it! Cheers guys!
@blindcoyoteart Thanks for the art share! I’m currently trying to focus on a lore / art side project that is definetly forcing me out of my comfort zone 😅
I did a couple of fast drawings of hanboks (traditional Korean clothing) recently. I love how they look and find their simplicity quite beautiful.
I ended up losing inspiration on the second one, but I gave it my best shot hahaha
A part of one of my WIPs. Trying to focus on clothing and detailing that would link characters to a culture. ^ ^
For this week’s art study, I tried going for a more pastel, painterly approach. I do quite like the blend between mild line art and colorful paints ^ ^
Tried blending an art study with an OC ~ eh it sort of worked
I do seem to have some trouble adding tattoos without having them look over crowded on the face. Some more experimentation is needed!
@Weary_canary Thank you for the art share! Right now I’m trying to focus on improving my coloring technique ^ ^
Queen Amidala as an art study. Definetly seeing some improvements (thanks for the suggestions!) but...
QUESTION: does anyone have any suggestions on how to more accurately tackle metallic textures? 🤔
Decided to start doing some art studies to see if I could improve my coloring skills 😭
It’s definetly hard to not fixate on the details~
Currently I run out of time before addressing all the pieces of the drawing, as you can see.
Well guess that’s something to work on huh?
