Shovel Knight: Spectre of Torment (2017, Switch)
Onto the next expansion, and this was SO DAMN GOOD WTF!! The movement was incredibly fun, there's a ton of new additions and tweaks to the formula to make it interesting, I honestly might like this more than Shovel of Hope lol
Pulseman (1994, Mega Drive)
Finally got all the way through this one, and I really liked it! Feels like a mix of Ristar and Rocket Knight Adventures, although there's still a ton of great original ideas here
Dr. Robotnik's Creature Capture (idk when, Mega Drive ROM hack)
One of the many Sonic hacks I've wanted to try out for a while, and it was fun! A really unique concept that was executed well for the most part
Freedom Planet (2018, Switch)
This was so good!!! The Sonic inspiration is very evident but the game still does a ton to stand out, I absolutely loved it (also it has an option to just skip the story and play each stage in order, more platformers really need something like that)
I love how pretty Spring Stadium looked in the Tails comic, the lighter colours really help to make it pop
World of Illusion starring Mickey and Donald (1992, Mega Drive)
The final 16-bit Illusion game, and they definitely went out strongly! I don't think the gameplay's quite as fun as CoI, but that's made up for with fantastic visuals and an S3&K-like approach to extra playthroughs
