A detail I love about DKC3 is how mechanical and grotesque the enemies look, fits in really well with the theming imo
They have this unsettling vibe that I really like
I get what this scene was trying to do, but it just made me laugh lmao
Knuckles is acting all dramatic and then Sonic's like "hey man cut that shit out"
Banjo-Tooie (2009, XBLA)
I FINALLY finished Tooie after like, 5 or so months lmao
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course (2022, Switch)
The long-awaited expansion is FINALLY here, and it's fantastic!! Ms. Chalice is super fun to play as, the bosses are still challenging but satisfying to overcome and the animation/backgrounds are absolutely brilliant as usual
This moment's super interesting, because generally, what reason does Super have to kill Sonic? I've wanted like to think of SS as being Sonic's darkest feelings and emotions being manifested, where all his negativity and anger is personified into this evil counterpart
FRIDAY FUCKER‼️ (alright, NOW is the last time I get to say it)
Seeing Sonic exhausted like this is rare, but it is interesting (especially since I don't remember much of this story)
This hits hard already. Nigel's scripts weren't always perfect, but I'll always respect his take on Sonic and his world, because he's genuinely talented and it shines through a ton
