I judge animation the same way I would any other art from.
Consequently, I won’t “support” something simply BECAUSE it’s animated.
It has to speak to me.
And my favorite form of art is storytelling.
But that’s me.
Make of that what you wish.

I hear - fairly frequently - that as an animator I should “support all animation” and I’m sorry if this makes me evil, but I’m just not willing to endorse anything and everything just because it’s animated.
For me to “enjoy” any kind of art…

So, as a storyboard artist in today’s world, you’re expected to be a writer, director, character designer, background designer, timing director, choreographer and actor (as you are responsible for every part of a character’s acting except the voice).

...I had developed a couple of their properties for TV revival that went nowhere, and the buzz around YYY! was lukewarm.
But... y'know... I was the guy they stole from #FairlyOddParents - so I think they kept hoping I'd wind up being worth the investment they made in me.
