@EdenSolera Yes most of my characters can use magic and their tribe their blood is bound to decides what type of magic they can do. For most of them they have always had magic and it doesn't bother them but for my MC Mickey she has magic forced into her dead body and is resurrected.

@MRogersWrites Mortal Angel features sentient, talking dragons. The MC Mickey, has a small fluffy monster called Tab that lives in her hood, he's sentient but can't talk only squeaks and purrs. There is also a tribe of sentient cat people in the book. Links to the book pinned to my profile.
