Crows are aware of themselves & able to think consciously, but lack the part of the brain (cerebral cortex) that scientists posited as the location of this type of thinking. Implying consciousness might be older & more widespread than believed (duh?)

Science of fermentation + edible elements of the landscape = seasonal meads. Some of ingredients we've mixed and matched. Japanese knotweed takes special care to harvest without spreading it. Trying out fully digital sketching & new styles 🤔

Happy belated Earth Day! Today we planted 50 new trees as part of our urban rewilding efforts. Their new home happens to be my favorite spot to sit and watch the birds soar.
