PAST PAINTING OF THE DAY is a sad reminder of the tragic tale of a 23 yr old American bookkeeper, who took her own life by jumping from the 86th-floor observation deck of the Empire State Building 74 years ago today.

I recall when this piece sold at the gallery it was displayed, I was told a foreign exchange student from the country of Jordan had purchased the painting. Knowing that this piece could be hanging in Jordan somewhere, is pretty cool.
