These headlight-inspired little cyclopses got a whole bunch of potential props & costume bits, and wound up scattered throughout the space station levels!

One of the animators had them sip horribly coffee through their eyelids/lips and it is... my favorite thing.

I went a lot further than I needed to 😅 so fun tho! I pitched that Oxide's ship have fancy rooms for entertaining, w/ an underbelly where workers tune up his cars.
It struck me his head & turbines resemble an engine- so I imagined a range of car-inspired critters & augmentations

I know I should pace myself buuut...GASMOXIANS!

I had a TON of fun breaking down Nitrous Oxide's bizarre design to reverse engineer his species, and use those ideas to create a whole bunch more!

Just remembered the time 10 years ago starting out on my first character design gig when they assigned me a fantasy goat and I was like "ok!" and proceeded to draw it entirely and only from the front 😂
