Feeling intimidated about some of the work I have ahead- especially since I've tightened up my style a lot in the last 4 or so years.
Just looked back on 2013's Maleficent work and I was just...riding chaos. Like 1 layer gritty, painting directly over my pencils o_O

Obviously this went through a lot more work before it was done- but hopefully just these few initial videos give you a sense of how the washes go down with @MaxUlichney’s new watercolor brushes, and a little bit of a sense of how I’ve been approaching layering!

I really like, once I’ve got an overall wash that feels good, to lock pixels and add new hues to the local color so I don’t lose the texture by painting too thickly over it (but I do that too sometimes if I want that effect)
